A re-elected Saskatchewan Party government means urban and rural leaders will have another four years to work together.

Swift Current Mayor Jerrod Schafer says the relationship between the city and province has been a good one, adding that he feels having a familiarity between Premier Brad Wall and the city has helped in strengthening ties.

Meanwhile, Bob Neufeld, the Reeve for the Rural Municipality of Swift Current, says there are a couple of areas they would like to work on with the Provincial government:

Neufeld says their relationship with the province has been good in the past, and he's not expecting too much in terms of changes.

There will also be no changes in Premier Wall's cabinet, as his newly re-elected government returns to work in the Legislature. Wall announced today that all of his ministers will retain their portfolios ahead of a shortened fall session, set to begin early next month.

All 17 cabinet ministers were re-elected in the Sask Party's majority win in Monday's provincial election, where the party won a total of 49 seats.

Wall says he will likely do a cabinet shuffle after the legislative session ends in May of next year.
