Christmas time is traditionally a time of giving and sharing.

This Christmas a special gift arrived at Standard Motors in Swift Current from someone who'd been keeping a secret for 45 years.

Someone named Don mailed a note and twenty dollars cash to the local business apologizing for the theft of some wheel bearings from over 45 years ago.

Ryan Plewis is a partner at Standard Motors. He says, "Well, I guess it was a surprise for a Monday morning to get something in the mail that clearly has been weighing somebody down for 45 years. And it was just nice to see that they were able to get some closure on it. And, ya know, for us it was just a good excuse to pass 20 bucks on to charity."

Plewis says they will be putting the 20 dollars in one of The Salvation Army kettles in the city.
