Jason Wade Klassen, 36-years-old from Swift Current, has been charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking along with other Criminal Code and firearm related offences after Swift Current RCMP executed a Search Warrant last night.
RCMP searched a home in the 200 block of 4th Avenue SE in the city and seized marijuana, money, drug related paraphernalia and firearms.
Swift Current RCMPCorporal Greg Smith says, "The firearms were stored improperly. Long barrel weapons obviously pose a threat to the public, and given the activities the individual was involved in, the firearms did pose a threat."
The man will make his first appearance in Swift Current Provincial Court this afternoon.
