The Ministry of Highways has announced that work has begun on a new storage facility in Shaunavon.

Minister of Highways and Infrastructure, Wayne Elhard, says the new shop is being built in the compound behind the Co op Home and Agro building, and it will house the winter machinery, as well as a wash bay and a small office.  He says they believe it will be an important improvement in terms of service delivery in the area and their ability to get to the job quicker when winter storm conditions are prevalent.

Elhard adds that the old building will also be used for storage purposes.  The cost of the new facility will be $1.5 million.
