The Saskatchewan New Democrats announced a plan to increase clean energy if elected on November 7th.

The party says it will mandate that half of the province's electricity comes from wind, biomass, solar and hydroelectric sources by 2025.

Leader Dwain Lingenfelter is also promising $20 million over four years to help municipalities improve recycling programs.

Meanwhile, Saskatchewan Party Leader Brad Wall announced a plan to increase support for people living with diabetes, including adding long-acting insulin to the Saskatchewan Drug Plan formulary.

He adds the Children's Insulin Pump Program will also be expanded to cover adults up to age 25 from its current cut-off at age 17.
