A preliminary hearing on a joint information involving Collin Perrault and his daughter Tanisha Perrault, who are charged with second-degree murder in the November, 2016 death of Logan Ring, begins today in Swift Current Provincial Court.

Five people were charged with second-degree murder, but one of them - Rebecca Kuhlman - pleaded guilty to manslaughter on September 18, receiving an eight-year jail sentence.

Due to a publication ban, details can't be revealed until all the matters conclude.

The preliminary hearing is expected to last six or seven days.

Jolene Epp - Tanisha Perrault's mother - and Todd Donaldson will also be having their preliminary hearing together, beginning January 28.

Ring's body was found at Saskatchewan Landing Provincial Park on November 17, 2016, and the charges were laid in October, 2017.

Tanisha Perrault also faces charges relating to animal cruelty, and is set to appear in Outlook Provincial Court on November 15.
