The Provincial Disaster Assistance Program has been a lifeline for those affected by flooding in Saskatchewan this summer.

The Opposition New Democrats are calling for a major re-write to the program.

Leader Dwain Lingenfelter says one of the biggest issues is the maximum amount of money that is paid out to an applicant, which is $160,000.

Lingenfelter adds, they believe that the program should cover 100% of the losses in floods, rather than the current 80%.
