Alberta, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan have signed a new deal, which they say will create an economic powerhouse in Canada.

Premiers Ed Stelmach, Gordon Campbell, and Brad Wall say the New West Partnership will form the country's largest barrier-free trade and investment market.  The provinces say they'll work together to market the region overseas.

Next month, the three provinces are sending a trade delegation to China and Japan.  Also, labour mobility is being streamlined.  That means, for example, a teacher who is certified in BC is also certified in Alberta and Saskatchewan.
