There are no criminal charges following the abrupt closure of Houston Pizza's Swift Current location last month.

Photos surfaced on social media that seemed to show slashes to cushions on the furniture and a mess on the floor in the restaurant.

There was an investigation done by the Swift Current City RCMP following the restaurant's closure, but the detachment says that file has now concluded and that there was nothing criminal.

David Morris of the Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority said there was no damage or theft related to the VLTs, and that they remained operational.

The Houston Pizza head office in Regina was asked whether there are any lawsuits following the restaurant's closure, to which they replied "we can't comment on the matter at this point in time due to the fact that it is a sensitive legal matter."

The Swift Current location re-opened on December 3 under new ownership.

The previous owner, Jimmy Dean, declined to comment.
