Cases of the H1-N1 Influenza A virus, also known as the swine flu, continue to rise worldwide.

No cases have been confirmed as of yet in Saskatchewan, but there are four more cases confirmed in Alberta and four more in Nova Scotia, moving the total number of Canadian cases to 27.

The World Health Organization has also decided to stop referring to the virus as the Swine Flu, saying the term is misleading.

The pork industry had expressed concern over the name, saying that the H1-N1 virus cannot be transmitted to humans from pigs.
