The chance to support or oppose was offered up at city council Monday night, but there were no takers.

In late January the City sent out public notice they were intending to pass a bylaw that would rezone a parcel of land in the southeast section of the City.

On February 11 council held a public hearing for the 459 18th Avenue South East property seeking a rezoning from Urban Reserve District to Heavy Industrial District.

"The rezoning amendments do not require submissions, they're invited to come to tonight's public hearing," Swift Current City Clerk Lee Ann Thibodeau-Hodgson told Swift Current Mayor Denis Perrault while the hearing was ongoing.

No presentation was made for the zoning changes or against them.

City council will make their decision on the rezoning of the four acres of land on February 25.
