The candidates for the November 7th Provincial Election will be finalized after today.
The deadline to nominate yourself as a candidate for the election is this afternoon at 2:00pm.
Dave Wilkie, Acting Chief Electoral Officer with Elections Saskatchewan, says at the time, the nomination forms are due, along with a $100 deposit payable by certified cheque or money order. He adds candidates running for a particular party must have confirmation that they have been endorsed by the party.
Wilkie says nominations can be completed at any local returning office.
Wilkie adds 157 candidates have been confirmed for the election as of 4:30pm yesterday afternoon, and more are likely to come before 2:00pm today. Candidates are running for six registered parties in the province, and there's also one independent candidate.
