A man has been pronounced dead following a mutli-vehicle collision near Central Butte.

The two-vehicle collision occurred when a west-bound car collided with a north-bound school bus approximately 15 km west of Central Butte at an intersection on the Old 19 Road.

Morse RCMP and emergency services from Central Butte responded to the incident at 8:30 a.m. this morning.

The 20-year old driver, the lone occupant of the car, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Notification of next-of-kin has been completed, and the RCMP has advised they will not be releasing the name of the deceased.

The driver of the school bus and the six students who were passengers at the time were all checked-out by EMS on-scene and then released. Some sustained minor injuries.

Swift Current Traffic Reconstructionist Unit is on-scene assisting with the investigation.

Traffic is being re-directed. Drivers in the area can expect delays and are asked to avoid the area.
