You can help a local organization and local school get some extra funding. Cypress Motors is holding an online vote to decide which worthy group will benefit up to $6000 from one of their "Drive One" events.
Internet Sales Coordinator Tanya Selk explained how the groups are to be chosen, “We asked the organizations and schools to send in applications for us and when we got them all in we sat down and we narrowed it down to ones that met all the criteria that we were looking for and we ended up with our top two in each category.”
Selk brokedown one of the votes, “The SPCA needs money for renovations and just day-to-day running of the building and then the Indians and minor ball are wanting to build a shed to store the equipment and have an Umpire change room.”
The other vote sees the Swift Current Comp -- trying to send their choir to Ottawa for Canada -- competing against the Maple Creek Composite school. They want to put up a billboard.
