An update has been provided into the outbreak declared yesterday at Gull Lake Special Care Centre.

Dr. David Torr, consulting medical health officer with the Saskatchewan Health Authority, said they're currently waiting for samples to confirm the virus that is in the long-term care side of the facility.

He did add the key with this outbreak is the symptoms are mild and they have a good immunization rate in the residents.

As of this morning, less than 10 residents were being affected by the illness.

Visitation is still being restricted to long-term care side of the facility.
