Beginning this evening the Herbert and District Integrated Healthcare Facility has temporarily halted their emergency outpatient services.

The temporary disruption will start at 5:00 p.m. today, and will run through to Saturday, November 25, at 9:00 p.m.

Physician unavailability is the cause of the three-day disruption.

Long-term care services and acute inpatients will not be affected by this disruption of services.

In the event of an emergency, as is always the case, residents are encouraged to call 9-1-1 and an ambulance will be immediately dispatched to provide assistance.

Health-related questions that aren't urgent can be directed to the provincial HealthLine service, which can be reached at 8-1-1.

For those affected by this disruption of services, the nearest emergency department would be in Swift Current at the Cypress Region Hospital.

Individuals with questions or concerns are asked to contact Rowland Schmidt, Health Services Manager at Herbert & District Integrated Health Facility at (306) 784-2466 ext. 2222.
