Environmentally conscious citizens of Swift Current will have the opportunity to recycle once again.

Dan Knutson, Engineering Assistant with the City, says getting the recycling program back up and running took some planning to prevent the contamination that was happening last fall.

He says the Salvation Army will be supervising the facility at 1101 North Railway Street West.

The program was shut down after scrap metal and concrete was left in the collection bins.

Knutson says residents can drop off paper, cardboard, clean cans, glass jars, and most plastic products.

The facility is open on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 10am to 6pm, and Wednesday to Friday from noon to 8pm.
