Police Chase in Abbey

A high speed police chase ended up in Abbey on Saturday.

Interview with Corporal Greg Doell"One of our officers attempted to make a vehicle stop for a speeding vehicle which then took off on him," said Acting Detachment Commander for Leader RCMP Corporal Greg Doell. "The pursuit ended up in Abbey where the vehicle was ditched by the subject."

RCMP then called out the police dogs but weren't able to locate the suspect.

The vehicle was reported stolen in Calgary.

Police are not disclosing any further details at this time as the matter is still under investigation.
