Ecole Boreale in Ponteix

Ecole Boreale in Ponteix has undergone a major renovation.

Two portable classrooms have been moved to Ponteix, from Gravelbourg and installed next to the Cultural Centre which currently houses the school.

Principal of Ecole Boreale, Chantal Switzer says one of the reasons for the expansion was the increase in attendance, which she says has grown from 5-6 students around 10 years ago. That number is now closer to 25 students.

Director of facilities and transportation for the Saskatchewan’s francophone school division, Steve Ekoudi adds that the addition was designed to handle even more expansion. The project will be done in two seperate phases, however there is no set date for the phase two additions to begin at the school.
