A 31 year old man from Winkler Manitoba is dead following a fatal motor vehicle collision involving a semi and a pedestrian. The collision occurred in the eastbound lane of Highway #1 and 6th avenue in Swift Current at approximately 2:00 a.m. Thursday morning.
The family of the deceased has requested that the name not be released
Traffic is again flowing normally in the eastbound lane of Highway #1 after police had it blocked off for close to 12 hours.
Golden West Radio listener Lane called in early Thursday and said “I just passed through Swift Current a quarter after five and I was just going to report that I saw the police had a body covered up right on the highway. It didn't look to good.”
