The 6th Annual Living Sky Casino Pow Wow has wrapped up for another year. Competitors and audience alike felt the weekend was a success.

Trevor Marion, General Manager of Living Sky Casino, was very happy about the crowd turnout.

"It went really good, actually really well some of the comments we received were very, very positive," he said. "I do believe this has to be one of the most successful ones that we've had since bringing the Pow Wow to Swift

Current."

He also felt the the community was very engaged with general attendance and making the competitors feel welcome. "That was one of the thinks we commenting on it was beautiful to see a lot of people from Swift Current

came out this year," he stated. "I don't know if it was the Pow Wow information session we had, or people just talking positively and just coming out to our event."

The competitors also had positive comments about being in the community. "Some of the competitors that have been with us over the years, they noticed that when shopping or out at a restaurant there wasn't the

intimidation factor, people weren't staring, they were more accustom to seeing First Nations Peoples in Swift Current."
