The Saskatchewan Government announced this morning they're lifting the fire ban for all provincial Crown land south of the Churchill River.

Originally the ban was placed on August 1, before being expanded on August 31.

Campfire restrictions in all provincial parks and recreation sites have also been lifted, except for in Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park and the Cypress Lake Recreation Site as extremely dry conditions remain in those areas.

However some municipalities, regional and national parks may still have burning restrictions in place.
