Parents are being r3eminded to keep their child's vaccinations are up to date.

Provincial Health Officials are urging parents to make sure their child's measles immunizations are up to date.

Deputy Chief Medical Health Officer Dr. Saqib Shahab says measles is a rare illness in Saskatchewan, but there has been an increase in cases in our province and outbreaks in other areas.

According to Dr. Shahab, 95% of the population must be immunized to prevent a measles outbreak.

All children under 18 years should have two doses of the measles vaccine, and you can make an appointment with your public health office to catch up on immunizations.
