Local RCMP aren't saying if any arrests were made or charges are pending after they had to send several officers to break up some incidents of violence in the crowd of a midget hockey game on Wednesday.

Staff Sergeant Al MacDonnell said, “That matter is still under investigation. So we're still looking into that.”

MacDonell knows they will have to be very vigilant with the games coming up in the Midget AA championship series next week.

"Everyone's excitement level gets a little bit higher of course in these situations," MacDonell said. "Both teams, both towns... we'll be cognisant of that."

So should Swit Current Minor Hockey be providing security?

"Well it depends on the circumstance," said MacDonell. "If a problem is anticipated than there should be sufficiant security at the game to deal with those situations. If that sufficient security can't deal with the situation than they are left with no choice but to contact the police."

Wednesday was the second time police have been called to a game during the Hurriances playoff run. They made two arrests after an incident following the final game of the first round.
