The Shaunavon Economic Development Committee is moving forward with the re-branding of that community.
At a Town Hall Meeting last week, Economic Development Officer, Kristy Thienes, unveiled a re-branding of the community that includes a new logo and a new tag line.
Thienes explains the new tag line.."It is "Where the West is Still Wild". Like I said, we're central to the area's wilderness and wildlife. We're still wild, which is indicative of all the history in the area. The Wild West has a romanticism to it. We at Shaunavon have vast open landscapes, and we just want to make ourselves as edgy, exciting, modern, and just update what we have going on."
The new Town Logo features a distinctive buffalo head, which depicts our wildlife in the area, as well as the Google Places icon that brands the town as a hub of the southwest, a wheat sheaf, some abstract colors that are indicative of our landscape, growth, and harvest, as well as a water drop an an oil drop.
The logo and tag line will be used once they have been adopted by Town Council.
