The Eastend Chamber of Commerce held a special evening recently to showcase different things for their members.

Shannon Morris from the Eastend Chamber of  Commerce says, "This was our very first event to showcase different things for our Chamber members. Something we've talked about for a number of years, and finally we got it all pulled together."

The evening took place at the T Rex Discovery Centre in Eastend and Chamber members were able to vote for their choices for some special recognition.

The recipient of the Youth Volunteer of the Year was Kiana Kohl, and there were two recipients of the Business of the Year..Hidden Valley Foods and Jacks Cafe.

And double recognition for Ethel Wills who received Volunteer of the Year and Citizen of the Year.

Morris says they had a great turnout at the event, with close to 80 people in attendance.
