The Shaunavon Arts Council is celebrating their 40th Anniversary this year.

And, as part of that celebration, the Regina Symphony Orchestra will be appearing in Shaunavon this March.

Wendy Thienes from the Shaunavon Arts Council says, "This year marks the 40th anniversary and it just so happens that the Regina Symphony Orchestra was looking to do some touring in Southern Saskatchewan, and we were approached about hosting them and thought that would be a great fit and a great event to have in celebration of the 40th."

With new Conductor Gordon Gerrard, the 24 piece Symphony Orchestra includes Shaunavon talent David Johnston and his wife Lisa.

The Regina Symphony Orchestra performs at Center Street United Church in Shaunavon on Sunday March 5th at three p.m.

Tickets for the event are limited.
