Saskatchewan Party candidate Jim Reiter is eyeing re-election in the riding of Rosetown-Elrose in West Central Saskatchewan.

He says he has been campaigning in communities as the November 7th election nears, going out on the doorsteps and attending community events to get in touch with voters. He says he's found a lot of people in rural Saskatchewan are concerned about running defecits and would like the government to continue to cut the debt and be fiscally responsible.

Reiter, who served as Highways and Infrastructure Minister in Premier Brad Wall's cabinet, says he is proud of what his ministry has accomplished when it comes to the province's roads but says the job is far from done. He adds they had the largest-ever capital budget for highways and they are doing a lot of work on highway, but a lot more needs to be done.

The Rosetown-Elrose riding begins north of the Saskatchewan Landing and ends just south of Biggar. Beginning a few kilometres east of Kindersley, the riding stretches just east of Lucky Lake. It had over 10,000 electors in the 2007 Provincial election.

Also running in Rosetown-Elrose are NDP candidate Tom Howe, and Dianne Rhodes of the Green Party.
