The Swift Current Memorial Cenotaph
Lest We Forget.
Friday is a day for remembrance and the local legion has planned some events for the day to honour those who fought.
The first service is scheduled for 9:00am at the cenotaph. It is a shorter service due to concerns about weather.
The main service will be held at the Comp High School at 10:50am. Everyone is welcome to attend but the legion is asking you to get there by 10:30am. Last year's event drew over 800 people.
In Shaunavon, the service begins at 10:45am at the Legion Hall, followed by a short service at the cenotaph.
There will also be a banquet that night starting with happy hour at 6:00pm. Tickets are $20 each and are available at Walter`s Home Furnishings in Shaunavon.
