A crowd gathers to learn more and discuss the proposed integrated facility

Swift Current area residents were given the opportunity to discuss the proposed integrated facility at a public meeting last night at the Credit Union i-Plex.

While many applauded the forward thinking effort of those parties involved, some residents voiced their displeasure with the location of the project. Others were concerned with moving existing services such as the library and senior care out of their current sites.

Residents in attendence listened to nearly an hour of presentations by representives behind the project, which included Mayor Jerrod Schafer, Celeste York of the Holy Trinity Catholic School Division, Randy Beler of the Chinook School Division, Beth Vachon from the Cypress Health Region, and James Youck, the President of P3 Architecture in Regina.

While some areas of the project are in more advanced states many of the options for the facility are still open to ideas. For more information on the project, click here.
