With the provincial election coming up on November 7th, Thunder Creek NDP candidate Ryan McDonald has been busy as of late.

McDonald believes his campaign has started on the right track, saying he's had a lot of positive feedback from people he has met door-to-door, and would like to get as much feedback as possible from the people in his riding through the campaign.

McDonald says the big local issue in his riding is rural healthcare, saying he's seeing a lot of small communities with hospitals and care facilities closing, and the NDP plan is to turn that around and make sure there is a viable alternative to the current situation. Along with healthcare McDonald believes something needs to be done about current road conditions.

The Thunder Creek constiuency consists of a large rural area east of Swift Current, north of Moose Jaw and west of Regina. Lyle Stewart of the Saskatchewan Party is the incumbent, while Jill Forrester is also on the ballot as the Green Party candidate.
