Swift Current recently said goodbye to Major's Ed & Charlotte Dean of the Salvation Army and welcomed in Lieutenants Bill & Renee Mailman.

As they are making themselves at home we had a chance to speak with Lieutenant Renee Mailman about how they recently finished their training in Winnipeg and how they ended up in Swift Current.

"We did tell them that we would want to be out West and so when we found out this is where we would be coming we were very excited that we would be able to be here in Swift Current."

Lieutenant Mailman says their time here in town has been great so far.

"So far it has been wonderful. We haven't been here that long but we have been able to explore a little bit and it has just been really wonderful to see all of the things that make Swift Current unique and special. We look forward to continuing to learn more about what makes Swift Current so great."

In terms of plans for the Salvation Army here she says right now they are focused on learning what the Salvation Army has been doing in the community and what they can continue to do to be a transforming influence here.
