The election campaign is winding down in Saskatchewan, and as we get set to vote on November 7th, we're already hearing a lot of speculation as to what could happen on election night.

A poll published by the Leader-Post and StarPhoenix newspapers on Friday suggests that the Saskatchewan Party is poised to win a second-straight majority. The telephone and online poll of 1041 people, conducted by Praxis Analytics over the last 10 days of October, show that if the election were held at that time, 66.7% of decided voters would vote for the Sask Party, compared to 26.4% for the NDP and 5.2% for the Green Party.

That same poll shows 83% of voters believe Sask Party Leader Brad Wall would be the best choice for premier, while 13% said NDP Leader Dwain Lingenfelter would be best. But neither leader is taking too much stock in the numbers, saying the only poll that counts is the one conducted on election day.

Meanwhile, advance polls for the election wrap up Saturday, when they are open from 12:00 noon to 7:00pm. On election day Monday, polls will be open from 9:00am to 8:00pm.
