In Shaunavon Provincial Court August first, a Swift Current man was found guilty of one count under Occupational Health and Safety Regulations.

Trevor Graham Forster was found guilty in May of 2019 of failing to follow The Saskatchewan Employment Act.

Charges stemmed from an incident that happened in September of 2016 near Shaunavon when a worker sustained several injuries after being struck by a piece of pipe that came loose while being picked up from the back of a trailer.

The pipe was being picked up by Mr. Forster, who was operating the boom truck.

Forster was fined $3,500 plus a surcharge of $1,400 for a total fine of $4,900.
