There will soon be a new scoreboard in this spot

As Swift Current Bronco fans welcome the team back from its US swing in a couple of weeks, they'll also see a brand new scoreclock at the Credit Union iplex.

The City of Swift Current purchased a new four-sided scoreclock with video screens for the facility earlier this year, and City Rec and Parks Director Dean Robson says it's set to be installed by the end of next week.

"We're expecting shipment later this week, with the intent that we'd be doing the installation starting on Monday and completing next Friday, November 25th."

Robson adds although the new clock will have video capabilities, the screens won't be up and running just yet... "the video capabilities are not hooked up immediately, that will take a while to get that hooked up and operating, but we are working on that right now too, so it won't be too long, either."

The current scoreclock, which was originally installed in 1998, will be split into four units and moved to the Fairview Arenas and the Stockade Building.
