Those looking to hit the slopes at Hidden Valley Ski Hill will have to wait a bit longer for an opening day announcement.

In a written response to Swift Current Online, Bridget Burgess, Communications Advisor for Environment & Parks with the Alberta Government says they will continue to operate Hidden Valley Ski Hill for the time being and look forward to sharing more information and an opening date in the near future.

Burgess adds that the Department continues to seek a suitable partner to operate the facility to enhance recreational opportunities, support local tourism, and generate economic activity. The Request for Proposals will be reissued as soon as possible and they look forward to finding and working with a suitable partner to ensure Hidden Valley’s long-term success.

Successful partnerships such as Sunridge Ski Area and Kinosoo Ridge Snow Resort also operate under a long-term lease, like the one sought for Hidden Valley. These examples demonstrate how well they work to support fantastic visitor experiences and sustainable recreation opportunities for years to come.

According to Burgess, more information will be shared in the near future.
