The Shaunavon Credit Union held their Annual General Meeting Monday evening.
They are reporting a deposit growth of 16.2% as well as announced a project to assist Co Op development in Ghana.
"We're operating in a very low rate environment like all financial institutions," said General Manager of the Shaunavon Credit Union, Chuck Gartner. "With a low rate environment comes low margins. We're basically tied to the rates that are global. There is no patronage payout to the membership due to a focus of our board wanting to build our capital as a top priority."
The Credit Union also decided to continue with MNP out of Saskatoon as their Auditor.
