Shaunavon's new Splash Park is currently under construction at Jubilee Park and is anticipated to be open by the end of September.

Last evening members of The Perk Up Our Parks Committee and Past Presidents of the now disbanded Shaunavon Kinsmen and Kinettes, met at Jubilee Park to announce a big donation.

Shaunavon Kinsmen Past President, Rob Johnston, said that, over the years, the club had been accumulating dollars from Sask Lotteries, and when the group disbanded they passed the funds to the Kinettes with the idea of supporting a big project.

Past President of the Shaunavon Kinettes, Sandy Greenslade, said the Kinettes added to the money with various fundraisers including Comedy Nights and Pancake Breakfasts.

The total donation came to $12,043.66 and was presented at the Splash Park construction site last evening to The Perk Up Our Parks Committee.

Total price tag for the Splash Park is $340,000.
