The Rock Creek Golf and Country Club has been nominated for this summer's Kraft Celebration Tour

 After a stop in Kyle last year, the TSN Kraft Celebration Tour could be coming to Shaunavon this August.

The Rock Creek Golf and Country Club has submitted a nomination into the contest, where 10 communities across Canada will win a $25,000 community award from Kraft and host a live SportsCentre broadcast.

"They want to stop by communities that show projects or endeavors that have been instrumental in promoting recreation and healthy lifestyles in their communities," said Janelle Wickstrom from the golf club, who submitted the nomination. "We are so proud of the clubhouse that we recently completed, and are so proud of the members that we have in our course, and the volunteer efforts that they make every year to help keep our course as good as it is for a community of our size, and we really want to showcase our project, our members, our volunteers and our community, and let the country see how great Shaunavon is."

Wickstrom is now calling on Shaunavon residents to support the nomination as the judges get ready to select the 20 finalists who will be announced on July 1, after which you can vote for your favourite communities.
