A rift in the SIAST Union has led to some possible changes in the near future. The week started with a new contract on Tuesday and some of the instructors represented by the Saskatchewan Government Employees Union announced they no longer want to be represented by the SGEU.

There are some hard feelings after it took three years for the union to get a new contract. The contract signed this week, expires at the end of June.

According to a news release from the SIAST Faculty Association, they have gathered signatures from over 45 per cent of their members, in favour of leaving the union.
