Law Enforcement and Truckers started off in Swift Current as part of the annual Truck Convoy which raises funds to benefit local Special Olympics Saskatchewan athletes.

On Saturday, truckers from across the province drove a combined total distance of 502 kilometres to make it to Regina for a Special Olympic celebration. Even officers involved in the Law Enforcement Torch Run made this one of their annual events.

Starting in Saskatoon and Swift Current, truckers either took the whole journey or joined in Moose Jaw or in Chamberlain to make their way to Regina for a celebration BBQ

Every year, 3000 trucks in 6 provinces and 15 American states help raise funds. Last year alone, a combined $1 million was raised by these truckers.

Special Olympics has more than 5 million athletes and Unified partners in more than 170 countries, with 1 million coaches and volunteers, helping to deliver 32 Olympic-type sports and over 108,000 games and competitions throughout the year.
