Baseball-sized hail from a storm Saturday shatters car windows at a vehicle dealership in Carlyle - Photo courtesy of News Talk 980 (CJME Regina)

The August long weekend is being marked with dangerous weather.

Tornado warnings were issued throughout the southwest last night when an intense storm moved into the Golden Prairie area.  The storm made its way through Gull Lake and into the Lac Pelletier area before weakening.

Environment Canada issued the warning based on a rotation signature on radar, so there's no word on if a twister actually did touch down, or if any damage was caused by winds or hail.

Another storm in the southeast packed a punch.  Car windows were smashed out when baseball-sized hail fell over Carlyle yesterday afternoon.

More thundershowers are possible throughout today.  Click the weather link on swiftcurrentonline.com for all of the details.
