Voters returned the Saskatchewan Party to the Legislature with a majority government, as did the province's students taking part in the Student Vote program.

The results of the vote were released after the polls closed last night, with the Sask Party winning 44 seats, and attracting a popular vote of 54%.

The NDP opposition won 13 seats and 28% of the vote.

276 schools across the province were part of the program, geared to help young people learn about the electoral process and prepare them for when they become old enough to vote.

Seven schools took part in the Swift Current constituency, and the student voters returned Premier Brad Wall with 565 votes.
