We had to get through some showers and windy conditions to start the long weekend, but things should start to improve today.

The Weather Network's Chris Scott says now that the system has moved out, they expect three days of wall-to-wall sunshine and temperatures moving above normal by the time we get to Sunday and Monday.

Scott adds we can also expect a warm, dry start to the fall season.

Scott adds we are not going to get any brutal shots of cold weather or overly wet weather through the next few weeks, but temperatures should drop quickly as we get to the end of October into early November.
