A BC man accused in a major drug bust will remain in custody.

After spending more than a day in deliberation, Judge Les Matsalla handed down his decision Friday afternoon in Swift Current Provincial Court, denying bail for Troy Swanson, one of the men accused in a major cocaine bust.

Judge Matsalla stated that his decision was based on the highly unusual circumstances surrounding the charges, and that he couldn't have the public lose confidence in the justice system by releasing Swanson.

Swanson has been remanded into police custody, with another court date set for November 16 in Swift Current Provincial Court.

Two of the other men charged in the case, William Larson and Brock Palfrey will appear on November 9th to determine a show-cause hearing.

Ronald Charles Learning, who is also facing charges in the incident will be back in court November 7th.
