Swift Current RCMP are reminding us we have a responsibility to report any collisions.

There were two incidents of failing to remain at the scene of a collision this weekend and a couple of them the week before as well.

"It's just a continuing trend," said Staff Sergeant Al MacDonell. "A lot of these... are for the most part minor accidents. Someone will come out and notice damage to their vehicle. In a lot of cases they don't know how the damage got there. It's a requirement by law to leave your particulars... or leave a note. We do charge people occasionally that we find that have simply left the scene without reporting that accident.

Local RCMP had a busy long weekend responding to a number of calls including four different assaults, three traffic collisions, five traffic offences, one impaired driver, one liquor act charge, two mental health act files, three 911 calls, five incidents of disturbing the peace, one count of uttering threats, two incidents of theft under $5000, two break and enters and four mischiefs.
