The Saskatchewan Health Authority is reporting a total of 141 new confirmed COVID-19 cases in the province.

Of those 141 new cases there are 19 in the Far North West zone, 2 in the Far North Central zone, 1 in the Far North East zone, 8 in the North West zone, 9 in the North Central zone, 5 in the North East zone, 18 in the Saskatoon zone, 1 in the Central West zone, 6 in the Central East zone, 2 in the Regina zone, 7 in the South Central zone, and 17 in the South East zone.

There are 15 new cases reported in the South West zone - 11 in the South West subzone 1, and 4 in the South West subzone 2.

There are 3 new cases with pending residence information.

About two-fifths (40.4%) of new cases are in the 20 to 39 age range.

Two cases with pending residence information have been assigned as follows - 1 from August 10 to the North West zone, and 1 from August 9 to the Central East zone.

That brings the provincial total number of cases to 50,912, of which 793 are considered active.

There are 46 active cases in the South West zone - 19 in the South West subzone 1, and 27 in the South West subzone 2.

The seven-day average of new COVID-19 cases is 93 (7.7 new cases per 100,000 population).

There are 3 recoveries reported, bringing that provincial total to 49,533.

There are 2 new deaths reported, bringing that provincial total to 586.

There are 69 people in the hospital - 58 are receiving inpatient care, and 11 are in intensive care.

Of the 69 patients in the hospital, 50 (73%) are not fully vaccinated.

To date, there have been 980,401 COVID-19 tests processed in Saskatchewan.

And yesterday, there were 92 COVID-19 test processed.

Of the 8,462 variants of concern cases identified by whole genome sequencing in the province, 7,085 are Alpha (B.1.1.7), 10 are Beta (B.1.351), 433 are Gamma (P.1), and 934 are Delta (B.1.617.2).

There were 90 COVID-19 vaccines administered yesterday, bringing the total number given in Saskatchewan to 41,914.
