In the February 1 COVID-19 update from The Saskatchewan Health Authority they are reporting a total of 661 new confirmed cases of the virus in the province.

Of those 661 cases, there are 22 in the South West zone - 7 in South West subzone 1, and 15 in South West subzone 2.

That brings the provincial total number of cases to 119,272, of which 11,370 are considered active.

There are 335 active cases in the South West zone - 80 in South West subzone 1, and 255 in South West subzone 2.

There has been 1 new death reported, bringing the provincial total number of deaths to 993.

There are 1,503 recoveries, 51 of those in the South West zone, bringing the provincial total number of recoveries to 106,909.

There are 370 people in the hospital - 331 are receiving inpatient care, and 39 are in intensive care.

Of the 331 patients receiving inpatient care, 137 are a COVID-19 related illness, 169 are incidental COVID infections, and 25 have not yet been determined.

Of the 39 people in intensive care, 32 are for a COVID-19 related illness, and 6 are for incidental COVID infections.

There is 1 resident in PICU/NICU undetermined.

There were 554 COVID-19  vaccinations administered yesterday, 4 of those in the South West zone.
