A local florist is holding a fundraiser through October to help breast cancer research. Leona Dyck, Owner of First Avenue Flowers and Gifts in Swift Current, says they are selling a variety of flowers and gifts for a donation to the cause.

Dyck says pink ribbons, necklaces, keychains, charms and pink carnations are among the items being sold in the fundraiser. She adds the fundraiser is close to her heart, as she is a cancer survivor, and cancer has affected other members of her family.
