The Frenchman River Gospel Music Jamboree kicks off today in Shaunavon.

Opening ceremonies go at The Crescent Point Wickenheiser Center at six thirty tonight.

New this year, is entertainment at The Randy Surjik Memorial Amphitheater in Memorial Park tonight from six until eleven p.m. and again on Saturday afternoon from one until 4:30. Admission is by free will offering.

Clayton Greenlay in the President of the Jamboree. He talked about some of the top acts performing on the main stage throughout the weekend. "We've got Jade Eagleson coming. And he's basically on the radio right now, his songs are playing. He is an awesome artist. And then we have Doug Rawling and the Caraganas, a very well known band, very talented. Jack Jackson known for his country music and then we have The Pilkey Sisters and they're awesome too."

Much more talent, including lots of local performers will be taking the stage all weekend, both at the Crescent Point Wickenheiser Center and Memorial Park.

Also included in the weekend is The Taste of Shaunavon Saturday from 4:30 until 6 where you can check out local dining options. Also, there is a concession available at The Crescent Point Wickenheiser Center all week end, as well as a free pancake breakfast Saturday morning from 8:30 till 10.

Free parking and free dry lot camping are also available.
